CheckMate Bistro is developed by Vermilion Apps. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: none) and how the app works.

Data Collection

CheckMate Bistro does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All calculations and saved bills remain entirely on your device.

• No personal information collected
• No location data accessed
• No contacts or photos accessed

Camera Usage

The app includes an optional receipt scanner that uses your device camera. Camera access is requested only when you choose to scan a receipt. Images are processed entirely on-device and are never uploaded, stored, or shared.

Analytics & Tracking

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no telemetry.

Data Storage

Saved bill calculations are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is not synced to any server. If you delete the app, all saved data is removed.

Widget & Apple Watch

The home screen widget and Apple Watch companion app operate entirely on-device. No data is transmitted externally.

Children's Privacy

The app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. It is safe for all ages.

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
